Who is Reliq Revival?

TL;DR

My name is Shawn. I am Reliq Revival— a one‑person, home‑based studio in Oregon City, Oregon. I design and build handcrafted wall art and lighting in small batches, and I personally source, inspect, clean, and photograph all curated clothing and rescued items before listing them in the store. Orders ship from Oregon, USA via USPS with tracking.

The somewhat longer story...

I was a kid in the 70s, a teen in the 80s, and a young adult in the 90s. Those eras shaped me in ways I still carry today—three things especially:

  • Creativity – The bold styles and designs in everything from home décor to clothing

  • Quality – Things were built to last

  • Personal Expression – People were who they wanted to be, not influenced or manipulated. They pushed boundaries— they rebelled 🤘🏼.

I was born a creative person, and luckily, schools back then fed my creativity with electives like Wood Shop, Metal Shop, Painting, Screen Printing, and Pottery. I took them all. Over the years I've dabbled in countless creative mediums—I'm kind of a Jack of all trades, a Maker. I see inspiration everywhere.

The Business (Chocolate)

When I started creating wall art and lighting, I drew from the artists and designs of past eras—reimagining them, building off them, sometimes improving on them. We live in a time where cheap imported, poorly designed products are the standard. I refuse to do business that way.

My goal was simple: stick to those three pillars I grew up with. Create quality-built items that spark imagination and conversation. Products that let people be BOLD and express their own style and creativity.

The Side Hustle (Peanut Butter)

While building the handcrafted side, I started a side hustle buying and selling used items—many retro or vintage, but most just rescued, forgotten pieces worth saving. Thrifting has been something I have loved since I was a kid going garage sale-ing (I know, not a word 😁) with my family.

I enjoy both creating and curating so much I wanted to find a way to blend them together.

Chocolate & Peanut Butter (IYKYK)

At first, it didn't make sense. But then it DID!

I realized: I'm applying the same three core pillars to both. The items I create and the items I curate share the same foundation.

It's all about reviving the past and what made it great.
